Most patients we see have tried other more traditional treatments and have either not gotten any better, or even worse they have continued to have even more pain. Unfortunately, a lot of people we see depend on multiple medications per day to try and function, but still are not happy with how they feel or how they live their lives. It is unfortunately the nature of deteriorating and degenerative joints, they will get worse with time, and generally the pain increases as well.
By the time we examine most patients their pain has been a part of their lives for years, many are on medications they no longer want to take. They have tried and failed other options, and they have had to give up things they enjoy like the golf game or lifting grandkids. Most have tried physical therapy, occupational therapy, chiropractic care, massage therapy or other alternative treatments with little or no lasting relief, or they would not be coming to see us to find relief. We do the treatment in our office with a local anesthetic and most people experience only minimal temporary discomfort. You always have a possibility of minor swelling, redness or bruising at the injection site, but the risks are minimal and it is generally relieved with ice. The human tissues we use are treated with caution for safety and every required test is performed to insure quality and purity. Some regenerative medicine tissues are taken from your fat or your bone marrow, we do not use these procedures as we believe our samples are the highest quality and we don’t want to add the risk of illness or infection from collecting the tissue samples from you.
